Completed only 4 years ago, this hospital is part of the Leesburg Regional Medical Center system.

Chosen as one of the top hospitals in the country for the past five years, LRMC has recently completed expansions of their heart cath lab and added several stories of patient rooms.

Located in the "horse country" of Florida, the carriages collected from all over the world by Gloria Austin are spectacular. There are over 165 antique carriages on display throughout the museum. The estate has 7.5 miles of paved roads that you can ride in your car and enjoy the beautiful horses grazing in the fields. Always holds an annual festival the second weekend of each December.

Have fun "stomping grapes" during the harvest festival or touring the winery and tasting some of the finest locally grown wines.

Spend the day, take your guests to enjoy some of what remains of "Old Florida". Watch animal shows, observe the alligators from the boardwalk, take a glass bottom boat ride, or enjoy the old fashioned carousel.

Take visitors on a special trip to look at undersea life from the underground viewing areas of giant aquariums. From dolphins shows to the endangered manatees, there is something to ooh and ahh about for everyone.

Great entertainment for the whole family is just an easy ride from Water Oak.

Who hasn't wanted to go to Disney World? So many different attractions to choose from, you need to move to Water Oak to be able to explore them all in "your own backyard".

If you enjoy nature, fishing, camping, boating, this is the place to be. You an experience some of Central Florida's most unspoiled areas.

Like most of our lakes in Lake County, Lake Harris has any number of public boat ramps for you to use and explore our "Chain-of-Lakes".

Like Lake Harris, Lake Griffin, Lake Eustis also has a number of public boat ramps and on a beautiful day it is almost mandatory to go out and enjoy a day of boating fun.

NASA's famous launch headquarters is only an hour's drive from Water Oak. You can watch launches from Water Oak's highest point on the golf course or from Kennedy Space Center and then explore space - up close in the many exhibits open to the public.

Shopping/Shopping Malls

Just 15 miles from Water Oak, our regional shopping mall has stores such as Belk, Sears, J C Penney, Target, Books-A-Million as well as specialty stores, boutiques, a 12-screen movie theater and a food court.

Even the novice antique collector has heard of Mount Dora in the heart of Lake County. One of the best places to spend the day, stroll down narrow streets window shopping. Check out antique shops and boutiques and take afternoon tea overlooking Lake Dora.

Saks, Bergdorf Goodman, Tiffany, Lord and Taylor are just a few of the high end retailers enticing you to spend your money at the newest mall in Orlando, just an hours drive from Water Oak.

Known for its art museums and galleries as well as the boutiques on Park Avenue, Winter Park is well worth exploring on a beautiful Florida day.

If you like shopping, you've come to the right place.  From major department stores like Kohl's and Belk to WalMart, Best Buy, Bed, Bath and Beyond to Target, Pier One, PetCo and Home Depot, if you are looking for it, you can probably find it just "down the street" in one of our many stores.
